Frequently Asked Questions

Laura Mercier does not test on animals, nor do we ask others to test on our behalf, except where required by law. Laura Mercier is actively working with industry and other partners to eliminate animal testing globally and is committed to the development and acceptance of alternative methods. We are equally dedicated to the health and safety of our consumers, ensuring we meet the highest quality standards. 

We are continually evaluating alternatives to animal-derived ingredients and have replaced many ingredients with vegetable-derived substitutes. We do use animal bi-products, such as lanolin and beeswax, in some of our products. For a complete list of ingredients for a product, please click on the ingredients tab on the product's detail page.

We currently do not ship orders to locations outside of the US. We also do not accept any credit cards drawn from banks outside of the US.

You have the option to select 2 deluxe samples with every order on lauramercier.com. We do not mail samples directly to customers. To test different colors on your skin, please contact your local Laura Mercier counter. See our Store Locations to find the counter nearest you.

We are committed to providing quality products to our customers. If you receive products from lauramercier.ca that do not meet your expectations, simply return the gently used products with the receipt within 30 days of purchase. When returning a set or kit, we require all contents from the original set or kit. Partial items from a set or kit will not be refunded. Empty containers will also not be accepted for refund. Processing time for returns takes up to 10 business days from the date the return is received at our facility. Shipping fees are non-refundable. Customers are responsible for all shipping fees associated with returns. We regret that we cannot make exchanges at this time.

Items purchased on lauramercier.com cannot be returned or exchanged at retailers that sell Laura Mercier Cosmetics.

PLEASE NOTE: Only items purchased on lauramercier.com will be accepted for a return. If your items were purchased at an authorized retailer, please contact the retailer to arrange for a return or exchange.

Some Laura Mercier products do contain Parabens. Parabens are preservatives and have been commonly used in consumer products for many years. Paraben use in cosmetics is fully permitted by regulatory authorities in Japan, Asia, the US, and Europe. Preservatives, including Parabens, are necessary in cosmetics to prevent product deterioration. They play an essential role in ensuring the quality of cosmetic products and the safety of the consumers who use them.

Yes, some Laura Mercier products contain Talc. Talc is commonly used as an ingredient in not only cosmetics but also pharmaceuticals and food products. For many years it has been used safely around the world.

We take the safety of our products very seriously and are confident about the safety of the ingredients we use in our products. However, we recommend that you consult your physician to determine whether a product you are currently using is safe for you during pregnancy.

We are required by law to charge sales tax on all orders where required by law. Sales tax is calculated and charged based on the zip code of the shipping address. If you have any questions regarding sales tax, please call us at 1-888-637-2437 or e-mail us at [email protected].

Many of our products do not contain ingredients derived from barley, oats, rye, spelt, or wheat, which are commonly known sources of gluten. However, we do not claim that any of our products are gluten-free, as they are processed in manufacturing plants where products containing gluten ingredients are also made.

Subscriptions FAQs

Subscriptions is a service where you can set up automatic shipments of select Laura Mercier products at your preferred frequency with 10% off and free shipping.

With Subscriptions, you’ll never be without your favorite Laura Mercier products. You’ll also receive 10% off and complimentary shipping on all Subscription orders. As a bonus, you will receive a complimentary makeup bag with your second order to house your favorite Laura Mercier products.

You will receive an email confirming your upcoming Subscription Order 10 days prior to your upcoming order. You can update the frequency or cancel an upcoming order from your reminder email.

Yes. To manage your Subscription order(s) at any time, sign into your account and go to the Subscriptions tab in My Account. You can cancel or edit the quantity and frequency of your Subscription cycle up to 24 hours before your next order. Your next scheduled Subscription order date will display in this section as well.

You can manage your account by signing in and going to the Subscriptions tab in My Account or by contacting Laura Mercier Customer Care team at: [email protected].

We offer Subscription on select products. You can see if an item is available for Subscription on its product page.

All Subscription orders include complimentary standard delivery. If you want to receive an order with priority shipping, we recommend placing a separate order.

You can pay with any valid credit card. Please note Afterpay is not an acceptable forms of payment on Subscription orders. If you would like to place a Subscription order, please submit a valid credit card.

You can change your form of payment for an upcoming Subscription order from within My Account. You can add or delete your valid credit card information here as well.

Subscription orders are shipped to the default billing and shipping addresses. You can edit this information at any time up to 24 hours in advance of your next order by logging into My Account.

#TeamMercier Artistry Collective FAQs

Artists selected for the Artistry Collective program will be paid a predetermined day rate for participating in brand moments like Fashion Week and PR events.

Applicants must be legal residents of the fifty (50) United States or District of Columbia and at least 18 years or older.

While artists do not need to live in the New York Area, artists must be available to work in New York City. Travel expenses will not be covered by Laura Mercier.

The Artistry Collective is not an exclusive engagement and artists are allowed to work with other makeup brands. However, our goal is to deepen our relationship with our professional artist community and as part of the collective, we will provide you with exclusive products, brand experiences and invitations to brand moments. All applications are subject to Laura Mercier’s Privacy Policy, which may be found here.

Mercier Muses FAQs

You can earn Laura Mercier Mercier Muses Points when you shop on LauraMercier.com or make a purchase through Customer Service.

You can earn Points by participating in a variety of activities. These activities include creating an account and signing up for SMS and email.

You can also earn Points for product reviews by leaving a review using the email you receive after your purchase on www.lauramercier.com prompting you to leave a review. Please note, that if you leave a review on www.lauramercier.com without going through this email you will not receive points for this activity.

In order to earn Points for each activity you must be logged into your LauraMercier.com account and then click on the appropriate links and activities. Points will appear either immediately or may take up to 48 hours depending on the activity completed.

Please always sign into your online account before you checkout to ensure you earn Points for activities as a Laura Mercier Mercier Muses member.

For purchases, as long as you check out using the email associated with your loyalty account, you will still earn Points for that purchase.

You can redeem Points for a variety of rewards by logging into your LauraMercier.com online account and navigating to the Mercier Muses tab.

Points will expire twelve months after your last purchase. You will receive an email notification when your Points are nearing expiration.

New Laura Mercier Mercier Muses are automatically enrolled as Flawless Fans Tier Members. If you earn 250 Points in a calendar year (January 1 – December 31) you will be elevated to a Caviar Collective Tier Member. If you earn 750 points in a calendar year, you will be elevated to a Première VIPs Tier Member. You will receive an email notification each time your tier status is updated.

If you receive a Première VIPs welcome gift, this reward will appear in your cart. It will appear the month of your entry of being a Première VIPs member.

Our normal Shipping Policy applies when you redeem your reward or gift online. A gift or reward cannot be redeemed alone and must be included with an order when redeeming on LauraMercier.com.

All Mercier Muses members are eligible for their birthday gift during their birthday month. The birthday gift will appear in your cart on LauraMercier.com for the duration of your birthday month. To receive your birthday gift, you may place an order online, in which case it will automatically be added to your order. Your Promotion Code will be listed with the gift in your cart on LauraMercier.com and will also be sent to you in an email during your birthday month.

If you join the Laura Mercier Mercier Muses Program during your birthday month, your birthday gift will not be available for 24-48 hours from the time of enrollment, so please check your cart on LauraMercier.com 24-48 hours from the time you joined.
